🍷 7. Mood Board: Dark Shadows 🍷

 

    Considering the fact that Halloween is more than a week away, I figured that I should get into the spooky spirit and binge watch horror movies. One of my favorite movies of all time is "Dark Shadows" due to the dark humor, plot, twists, and atmosphere. 

    Throughout the entire movie, it's pretty much always dark and consists of a color scheme using black, grey, blue, purple, red, and other muted colors. This creates a perfect ambience and atmosphere for the dark and twisted storyline, dialogue, camera angles, characters, and clothing choices. Since the movie involves the classic Halloween monsters like vampires, wolves, and witches, I figured that I should incorporate it into my mood board to give a sense of a spookiness. 

    In the collage, you can obviously see that I included a red dress, glass-stained cathedral windows, fire, and a coffin to represent the key moments or elements in the movie that stood out to me the most and represent the movie the best. "Dark Shadows" is quite tragic and comedic movie that involves lust, affairs, jealousy, the supernatural, legacies, murder, and mysteries. Truly, it's a 10-in-one powerful punch of my favorite movie elements combined into one movie that will always be included in my "Halloween Movies" rotation.
