π 6. Sound Story Shenanigans π

If I'm being honest, me and Rebecca's Sound Story of a drunk-driving car crash is pretty gruesome, but I think it was the best choice to incorporate sound layering and provide a vivid image for the audience and as much context as possible. The process was slightly tedious and intricate, but it really paid off at the end.
Creating the ideas for the sound story was quite easy, since Rebecca and I both had the same idea upon first hearing the idea of this project, so deciding on the final "story" was simple. Once we had the scenario, we began brainstorming on how the beginning would play out, whether it would start with a loud, upbeat environment from the inside or outside, how large the group would be, where we wanted the audio to be "captured" from, and the mood. We created a script and layout of how the scenes were going to play out and what audios would be best to do ourselves.
It was a little annoying to find all the specific audios and videos that would fit perfectly to our standards for the setting, but we ended up making the clips ourselves to make it easier, rather than scouring YouTube or Google for hours trying to find "the one".
While trying to grab audio from YouTube, it was slightly confusing to figure out how exactly we could put the clips into "iMovie" without having to use the "Voice Memos" app, which would make the quality of the audio sound fake and poor. Thankfully, Rebecca was able to figure it out by asking a peer in one of her other classes how to fix this issue, and it was pretty much smooth sailing from there on out.
Creating the original sound bites was quite an interesting process and it involved a lot of attempts, listening, and laughs. Before shooting one of our clips, Rebecca accidentally dropped a bottle of "Pellegrino" on the floor and it completely shattered, but it wasn't an issue and instead we just laughed it off. If I'm being honest, I wish we could've shot more original audio clips to make the process even more fun and interesting, but I'm sure we'll get more chances to do so in the future.
