📝 26. Updated Storyboard 📝
What's up my party peopleeeeeeee!!
Obviously in this blog, I'll be taking you guys through our story board and I'll delve into the several changes that occurred during filming and why we scrapped and added in a few things.
For the most part, this stayed consistent with our original shot from the first storyboard, except that we have some more detail in the background and also made sure to include how it fades from black into the alarm clock. The song "Come See About Me" will play immediately once the film starts, but the music transitions to a more upbeat-ish song once the alarm clock shows up on screen.
Shot #5 stayed the same for the most part (but again, I added in a lot more detail into the background and the lighting) except for the fact that we filmed it at a different angle. In our original storyboard, we planned on filming her feet touching the ground, in which the camera would be placed under the bed. However, during filming we figured it would just be a lot more practical and aesthetically pleasing to instead film this shot from the side of the bed, plus we could include some more messiness to the background. In shot #6, you might notice that this was not included in our original storyboard! We felt as though we needed to add some more timing and variation to our film opening, so it felt like a good idea to use this as an extra feature for our film and I honestly love it. There's so much color and saturation present in that shot and it just feels pretty unique.
So in shot #8, we also kept this pretty much the same as our first storyboard, but we filmed it at a different angle and included more emphasis on the background with a bunch of clothes and shoes thrown everywhere. I also made sure to include some rips in her jeans to portray her rugged look, but we still have to include the sound of the jeans ruffling. In shot #9, we thought it would be a great idea to include a mirror shot of our character zipping up and buttoning her jeans to lengthen the duration of our bedroom scene and to give some more opportunity for the audience to see her distraught environment and squalor.
For shot #10 (the first photo on this blog that says "Starring: Emily Jaramillo), Rebecca filmed another insert shot for some more credits to display on the screen, which wasn't on the original story board either. The audience can see how her clothes are tossed around, she has dozens of things piling up on her dresser, and to kinda give that "teenage girl" vibe. And lastly, for shot #11, our main character is seen pulling her large black hoodie off her bed and giving it a big sniff to see whether she can wear it for the day or just leave it behind. Honestly, it's a pretty simple shot, but it just further emphasizes how nasty she is lol.
Anyways, I hope you guys enjoyed this little update and I'm super happy that you guys get to see our project slowly evolve! There will always be room for improvement, and I'll be sure to update you all on any future events. See you all later!!!
Enjoy some very cute bunny content of my new bunny Leo and my older bunny Lucky (except I call her Tonta, which means dummy in Spanish). BYEEEEEEEE :))))))
